Set in the lobby and brick-lined patio of the 1936-era Indian Creek Hotel, Creek 28 has the allure of that earlier era and, fortuitously, wonderful food as well. Chef Kira Volz is devoted to locally sourced fare and grows herbs like rosemary and basil right on the property. The market fish—striped bass one day, hog snapper the next—changes daily and is served with accompaniments like mango and tomato chutney. Top it all off with a dollop of her homemade ice cream, from sherry swirl to toasted coconut.
