Miami Beach, FL, 33139, United States

Nearly 10 years after its splashy opening, the Shore Club remains one of the top spots in Miami to ogle beautiful people modeling the latest designer swimwear. Pilates-toned bodies are typically found lolling on large beds near the two elevated infinity pools and the outdoor Rumbar, just off the beach. Later they're spotted dining at the hotel's branches of two Robert De Niro-affiliated restaurants, Nobu and Ago. The 109 rooms (80 percent of which have ocean views), designed by famed British architect David Chipperfield, are a bit smaller than those at the Morgans Hotel Group's other South Beach properties, the Mondrian and the Delano, but are attractively minimalist, with streamlined furniture, a white-on-white color scheme, and Mexican sandstone bathrooms with glassed-in “wet rooms.” The landmarked Art Deco lobby, accented by Kenyan throw pillows and Turkish tables, leads to a labyrinth of gardens.
Insider Tip:
The aptly named Rumbar is the place to go for a cocktail made with its namesake liquor—the joint stocks 75 varieties of rum—but it's only open Thursday through Saturday nights.
