Things to do in South Beach

Whether its meandering between the pastel-toned Art Deco buildings or roller blading with local South Beach diet fans on the 17th Street beach walk, there are plenty of things to do in South Beach.

Fans of the arts can avail of 90 minute walking tours at the Art Deco Welcome center. Want to go it alone? Meander through the Collins Park Art District or stop by the Bass Museum of Art for somewhere with air-conditioning.

Check the line up at the Frank Gehry-designed New World Performing Arts venue to catch a New World Symphony or book tickets at the Miami City ballet.

Want to stay in shape while on vacation? Lummus Park offers free volleyball facilities, and South Pointe Park is a great green space to work out while watching the sunset. You can also jog through the South Beach Botanical Garden to marvel the tropical greenery – it’s free.

Still wondering what to do in South Beach and money is no object? Make like an A-lister and rent a boat from the Club Nautico. Maybe you'll anchor down next to P. Diddy. If you're looking for an outfit before you hit the clubs, Base and Fly Boutique offer styles for every look. Once you're all dolled up, stop by the Martini Bar at the Art Deco designed Raleigh Hotel to turn back the clock over a cool drink. Finish your evening dancing at Mansion, AL Capone's old movie theater and now a nightclub hotspot.
