Sorrento’s main pedestrian street is lined with several shops handing out free samples of the Amalfi Coast’s famous sugary limoncello (lemon liqueur) and its creamy cousin crema di limone. Though not the largest of these otherwise interchangeable shops, Limonoro does have some of the friendliest service and one of the better and more varied selections, which includes other liqueurs flavored with licorice, fennel, almond milk, or chocolate. Also on hand: marmalades, scented honeys, olive oil, and the typical Neapolitan dessert baba al rhum (beignets soaked in sugared rum).
