Soho/Covent Garden
Geales
Originally opened in 1939, Geales is a traditional fish and chips restaurant (affectionately known as a “fish and chippy”) that uses ingredients from sustainable sources within the UK. The specialty here is, of course, fish and chips, and it can be prepared using pollock, cod, haddock, or sole. In addition to the classic fish and chips, the restaurant serves prawn cocktail, dressed crab, fish pie, and fishcakes. The modest interior features wood paneled walls, black-and-white gingham window treatments and lines, and black leather banquettes.
Insider Tip:
During lunch, the restaurant offers the regular full menu along with a prix fixe lunch menu that includes a starter and a main dish.
