Chowki

Inspired by the belief that there is no such thing as an all-encompassing “Indian cuisine,” this casual Soho eatery serves an affordable, ever-changing menu that features the dishes of three different Indian regions each season. From Punjab and Parsi to New Delhi and Madras, Chowki represents a total of 27 regions with a combination of street food and home-style cooking. Dishes may include minced lamb kebab, yam curry, and tiger prawns marinated in mustard and caraway. The restaurant itself is simple and unassuming, with wood paneling, white tiled floors, and communal tables lined with bright red upholstered benches.
