A Singapore mainstay since its opening in 1991, Zouk is a magnet for the local “in crowd.” The club, located in a renovated warehouse on Jiak Kim Street, is actually a complex of four venues: the main Zouk room, designed with whitewashed walls and a multilevel dance floor; Phuture, which includes an LED light wall and neon bars; the indoor-outdoor Wine Bar, filled with futuristic metallic furniture; and Velvet Underground, which contains velvet walls and artwork by the likes of Andy Warhol and Frank Stella. International DJ’s provide the music, which ranges from hip-hop and jazz to 80’s and afro-funk.

The crowds at Zouk often result in a long line at the front door. Consider purchasing a membership to the club’s exclusive Member’s Bar to cut down on wait time.
