Despite the exclusive-sounding moniker, this French Concession restaurant is open to common and famous; Ralph Fiennes, Yao Ming, and Jackie Chan have all graced the guest list. The villa has played many parts in its history, as home, office, and dining spot. Owner/designer Wang Xing Zheng used his style background to create an interior with mahogany furniture and an eclectic mix of antiques. Chef Ding Yongqiang prepares Shanghainese fare like fried bread with shrimp and foie gras. For an after-dinner drink, there are three in-house bars.
