Although located on the second floor of the Xintiandi shopping mall, this restaurant is far from the typical food court options found in malls. Bright red poles line the entrance, and noodle crafters can be seen shaping noodles from dough in the La Mian style. Influenced by Canton and Shanghai, Jade serves dishes from various regions, including dim sum in Cantonese fashion. Menu options include pan-fried Shanghai pork buns, xiao long bao (a flour-based dumpling filled with pork), turnip pastries, and crispy eel.
While the restaurant seats several hundred, it is often crammed with people, so reservations are wise.
