Formerly the Regent Shanghai, the Longemont hotel rises 53 stories above the Changning district, just 10 minutes from the Bund. Inside, huge white columns and a spiral staircase create a sense of drama in the high-ceilinged lobby. Large windows frame expansive views of the downtown skyline in most of the 511 guest rooms, which are decorated in neutral tones with platform beds, oversize soaking tubs, and in select suites, glass-walled showers overlooking the city.
