Mercado Lonja del Barranco
Renovated into a multi-stall contemporary food hall in 2014, the riverside Mercado Lonja del Barranco has retained its striking original steel cast exteriors designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1883. The last word in modernity at the time of its opening, the former fish market was revamped using off-white stands with carnival bulb lighting, brass countertop accents, and glass walls. The variety of mix and match meal options and scenic outdoor seating are arguably the main reasons visitors and locals routinely rub elbows here. Order a Cruzcampo beer on tap and go to town on a wide selection of paellas, salads, burgers, fried fish, and sushi.
