Founded in 1946 by three high school buddies, this still locally owned seaplane operation has a fleet of 25 aircrafts performing seasonal, scheduled service between Seattle and the San Juan Islands, Olympic Peninsula, Vancouver, Victoria, and the Gulf Islands. Charter planes fly passengers where they need to go quickly––from harbor to harbor––or on more leisurely adventures such as a seaplane/whale-watching tour. “Flightseeing” excursions operate from the Lake Union Terminal and range from 20-minute "City Explorer" tours with views of the Emerald City, to a two-hour-long, island-hopping trip with opportunities to disembark and check out one or more of the San Juan Islands.
