With its lofty dimensions, blond wood wall panels, and modern furniture, Poppy's dining room in Capitol Hill is casual place to enjoy the regional northwest cuisine of chef Jerry Traunfeld. Menu items are served in the Indian thali-style, meaning each diner receives his or her own platter of small dishes from the seven or 10-item tasting menus. Menus change seasonally, but may include Neah Bay salmon with chanterelles; bacon and lemon-thyme sorrel; and tomatoes stuffed with herbed quinoa, chèvre, olives, and saffron.
