True to its name, the front door of The Hideout is hard to find, thanks to its dark windows and small sign out front. But make your way in and you'll be seduced first by the art-filled walls; then by the vending machine in back that dispenses its own tiny artworks and strange small gifts. But make no mistake, this is no quietly artsy scene: It's First Hill's most rambunctious bar, making for a rollicking hideaway in a neighborhood filled with condos and hospitals.
