King’s Hardware, a beer bar that serves some of the best burgers in town, attracts a young, fun-loving crowd. Inside, the weathered brick and wood-paneled walls are adorned with pictures of the great outdoors, animal skins, and deer heads, and the Skee-Ball machines add further rec-room charm. The patties are formed by-hand from 100 percent hormone and antibiotic free beef, and the sweet potato and French fries are hand-cut. Favorites include the signature Billy Burger topped with goat cheese, roasted garlic, red peppers, and sweet pickle chips and the heart-stopping peanut butter and bacon burger.
The sliders (an order of three costs just $5 during happy hour) are perfect complements to beer list, which numbers around three dozen.
