Seattle

Hazlewood

2311 N.W. Market St.
Seattle, WA, 98107, United States
TEL: (206) 783-0478

This diminutive little bar in Ballard truly is teensy with just a handful of stools and minimal standing room on the main floor. Nonetheless, patrons congregate in this high-ceilinged, chandelier-bedecked speakeasy, sipping European craft beer and the signature Hazlewood, a cocktail made with whiskey, honey, peppermint tea, and amaretto (it even comes with two "sides": a house-made chocolate truffle and Nat Sherman clove cigarette). Try venturing upstairs to the equally petite second level; it's an intimate, candlelit space offering table service and a much-discussed "peephole" art installation.

Insider Tip:

Adventurous bar-goers must try the Blackbird, made with pomegranate liqueur, crème de cassis, and squid ink.
