Just a couple of blocks from the river, the 151-room Andaz Savannah is an outpost of one of Hyatt’s younger brands. The interiors are sophisticatedly done, with artwork in the lobby. One highlight is the second-floor terrace, with a pool, fire pit, and lounge chairs. The rooms are comfortable, with freestanding bathtubs and mini-bars with complimentary soda and local artisanal snacks (alcohol costs extra). The décor features bright, patterned furnishings and whimsical fleur-de-lis motifs. The hotel’s farm-to-table restaurant, 22 Square, is a welcome addition to the dining scene.
