Popular Santorini may boast the Greek Aegean’s hottest nightlife, but this latest addition to the crowded hotel scene distinguishes itself with an emphasis on warm hospitality and traditional island tranquility. Constructed in the classic Cycladian architecture of whitewashed walls, arched windows, and terraced patios, Petit Palace has 12 unique, distinctly contemporary guest rooms, their neutral beige-and-gray palette accented by sleek mid-century-modern divans, apple-red desk chairs, and satiny black bedspreads. The smallest of these airy suites is a generous 375 square feet, but several measure nearly twice that—and all boast whirlpool tubs and private balconies with endless views of the too-blue-to-be-true Aegean. Our favorite details: the Greek bath amenities by Apivita and mini-fridges stocked with regional treats like honey-drenched sesame bars. This tiny hotel promises to be one of the island’s most popular spots, but for now, it’s still an unknown Santorini gem.

Room to Book:

The bi-level Petite Maison Suite, with its king-size bed, private balcony pool, and his-and-hers sinks. It's only a few steps away from the picturesque chapel of Agia Irini.

Insider Tip:

Be sure to order a Summer Bramble cocktail (Bombay Sapphire with muddled strawberries, lemon, and apple juice) at the poolside Elia restaurant as the sun sets over the Aegean.
