Opened in December 2006, PORTOfino is rapidly becoming the Florentine’s favorite seafood restaurant. Although it’s ten minutes by cab from the city center, the ride is well worth it. The stylish, 40-seat dining room has washed wood floorboards and tables draped in ecru cloths, and the ultra-fresh fish comes from Liguria or Livorno each day. Ask the waiter to recommend the day’s best catch.
Signature Dish: Raw fish and oysters served on a bed of ice; fish carbonara (spaghetti with egg and catch of the day).
