Inn at Loretto

Taking its name from Santa Fe’s famous Loretto Chapel next door, the Inn and Spa at Loretto recently underwent a major renovation that looked to the area’s Native American Pueblo Indians folklore for inspiration. Historic photos and maps and artisan-made items throughout the inn reflect the hotel’s celebrated history while guest spaces—in vibrant hues of deep terracotta red and Navajo gold—are accented by the black and white patterns often used in Anasazi pottery and blankets. The spacious, comfortable rooms (all with oversize leather reading chairs and some with private balconies) look out to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the nearby chapel, or the inn’s lavender-scented gardens. And the location, just a few blocks from the historic Santa Fe Plaza, can’t be beat.
