Originally owned by former President Rodrigo Carazo Odio, the Villa Blanca is shrouded by the dense cloud forest of the Los Angeles Private Biological Reserve. Surrounded by untamed jungle, the 34 whitewashed casitas are designed in a 19th-century farmhouse style with sugar-cane ceilings, tiled floors, and wood-burning fireplaces. The property also includes a spa and a wedding chapel with 840 hand-painted ceiling tiles. El Sendero restaurant serves local cuisine with organic ingredients from the on-site greenhouse, while the bar provides handcrafted cocktails beside a stone fireplace. Organized activities range from horseback riding and ziplining to nocturnal nature hikes.
