Port Brewing Co.
If San Diego County had a craft beer church, it would be this San Marcos brewery where Tomme Arthur produces beer for both Port and The Lost Abbey. Port grew from a brewpub chainlet and now features beers like Wipeout IPA and Shark Attack red ale, both served from flip-flop tap handles. The Lost Abbey brews more Belgian-slanted ales “for saints and sinners alike,” including offerings called Devotion and Judgment Day that flow from holy cross-topped taps. All of these beers and more are available at the on-site tasting room, which is open Friday through Sunday, and features barstools crafted from kegs and hop sacks.
Port Brewing Co. and The Lost Abbey occupy the original home of Stone Brewing Co.
