Elixir is a 148-year-old Mission neighborhood bar, restored by mixologist H. Joseph Ehrmann in 2005. He renovated the building into a Victorian-era style saloon while transforming it to San Francisco’s first Green certified bar. Dark mahogany walls, classic lamps, and red bar stools mark the interior. Ehrmann, known as "H.," creates signature cocktails with seasonal fruit juices, house-made mixers, and spirits from Bay area distillers. Elixir's daily happy hour is from 3-8 p.m. and weekly activities include game night, pub quiz, and Thursday cocktail club.
