San Francisco
Boulette's Larder
San Francisco, CA, 94105, United States
A bustling open kitchen filled with copper cookware and a single communal table serves as the centerpiece of this tiny restaurant, housed inside the Ferry Building Marketplace. Outside, a few additional tables are set up along the waterfront, providing panoramic views of the Bay Bridge. Incorporating fresh seasonal ingredients from local farms, chef-owner Amaryll Schwertner prepares internationally inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch, Sunday brunch, and private dinners. Brunch is especially popular, with specialties including homemade beignets and inventive egg dishes, such as the Japanese-style scrambled eggs with dashi. An adjacent larder sells everything from handmade chocolates to obscure imported spices.
Insider Tip:
If you choose to take advantage of the restaurant's BYO policy, pick up a wine bottle from the neighboring Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant, which carries both well-known and rare vintages.
