BIX
San Francisco, CA, 94133, United States
Doug "Bix" Biederbeck founded this restaurant in 1988, and incorporated his love for jazz, art and hospitality into this 100-seat restaurant on Jackson Square. Enter a two-story columned room, often described as a fashionable supper club or elegant speakeasy, and listen to live jazz every night. BIX seeks to use meats free of antibiotics or hormones, and the dinner menu has entrees such as Maine lobster spaghetti “ala Chitarra” with jalapeños, basil, and cherry tomatoes. Desserts include Bananas Foster with vanilla ice cream and dark rum. Valet service is available, and reservations are highly recommended. Lunch served only on Fridays.
Insider Tip:
Try the Bix Fixe, chef Bruce Hill's two-course appetizer and entree special.
