Since 1910, the U.S. Grant in downtown San Diego has served as a hallmark of tradition, elegance, and old-world charm. Presidents, dignitaries, and celebrities have graced its halls over the years. In 2006, the Grant was completely refurbished to include today's opulent lobby and 270 rooms and suites, and today, the hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Each guest room has original artwork, as well as marble bathrooms, Italian linen bedding, and intricate crown moldings. The hotel's restaurant, the Grant Grill, has been serving excellent regional cuisine with a strong focus on prime meats and Pacific seafood since 1951.
