Some of the friendliest pourers in Napa staff the tasting room of this winery, where the surrounding canopy of sycamore trees makes you feel miles away from Highway 29 (in fact, it’s just a quarter-mile away). A must-visit for eco-conscious wine lovers, the property was a regional pioneer of sustainable growing; since 2001, it has embraced practices such as tilling soil rather than spraying pesticides; employing solar energy to power the winery; and using only biodiesel-fueled tractors. The best-known varietals here are Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon; there are usually five to six wines available to taste.
