Open Colonna

200

9A Via Milano,
Rome,

Italy,
00184.

Housed inside the Palazzo delle Esposizioni (Rome’s largest interdisciplinary exhibition center), Open Colonna itself is a work of modern art. The space boasts a wall of windows and a lofted ceiling of glass, while the decor includes furnishings made of glass, steel, and molded plastic colored in fushia, green, and gray. Diners can also eat on the patio near the “green roof” and its herb garden. Serving Roman cuisine with international touches, the restaurant has weeday city lunches (fixed two-course lunch) and a buffet-style brunch on the weekend that includes everything from frittatas to meatballs and cheese plates.
