Casa Bleve
Set in the column-lined courtyard of the 16th-century Palazzo Medici Lante della Rovere, not far from the Pantheon, this is one of Rome’s oldest enoteche (wine store). This 16th-century courtyard-turned-dining-room, with an Art Deco-style glass ceiling, is the latest offering of the Bleve family, who are local fixtures on the wine-and-dine scene in Rome. The selection of (mostly Italian and French) vinos, both by the bottle and by the glass, pairs superbly with involtini (stuffed rolls of ham) or cheeses and salumi from nearly every region of the Italian peninsula.
Insider Tip:
The cellar was created with first-century walls, long hidden beneath the palazzo.
