Daphne Inn
Alessandro Bisceglie and Elyssa Bernard's intimate B&B opened in 2001 and is located just a short walk from the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Eighteen rooms and suites are split between two guesthouses in the quiet Piazza Barberini. Daphne Trevi is set in an 18th-century building on a cobblestone street, while Daphne Veneto is housed in a 19th-century building on a street that runs parallel to via Veneto, where Fellini filmed La Dolce Vita. Rooms boast bold, graphic print bedlinens, modern art, and guest-use mobile phones. Lodging configurations vary from budget rooms with shared baths to a deluxe two-bedroom/two-bath penthouse suite.
Room to Book:
Room #305 is part of a 2010 addition and features its own private balcony overlooking gardens maintained by nuns from the 16th century cloister next door. It also comes with a private Mac laptop.
Insider Tip:
Colline Emliane on Via Degli Avignonesi, right next door to Daphne Trevi, earns raves for its classically prepared cuisine from the Emilia Romagna region.
