The owners of Liberty Hill Farm in central Vermont welcomes guests as part of their family. For more than a quarter of a century, Beth and Bob Kennett have rented out the seven rooms in their nearly 200-year-old Greek Revival farm house, each of which has butternut moldings, maple floors, and traditional New England country furniture. At dinner, guests converge with the family to dine on hearty, regional food, such as maple cranberry chicken and Cabot cheddar biscuits. The husband and wife welcome help with chores, milking cows included.
Room to Book:
If travelling with children, ask for the room on the north end of the house, which has a queen size bed, a single, and a pull-down futon.
Insider Tip:
A visit to the farm is also a technological escape, so expect to be doing your social networking in person.
