Things to do in Richmond (Richmond-upon-Thames)

Since the Royal Botanic Gardens were established in 1759 by Princess Augusta, they’ve expanded from nine acres to more than 300; Victorian-era greenhouses and the sprawling grounds overflow with 33,000 species of flowers, plants, and trees (the world’s largest living collection).

At the base of Richmond Hill, Petersham Nurseries is a beautiful garden and shop set apart from bustling London. When Gael & Francesco Boglione purchased the nursery, they reunited the original Petersham House estate.
