Petersham Nurseries Café
Petersham Nurseries
Surrey, England, TW10 7AG , United Kingdom
Set in a Victorian-era greenhouse, this café opened in 2004 as part of the refurbished Petersham Nurseries, owned by husband-and-wife team Gael and Francesco Boglione. Surrounded by various plants and herbs, the rustic dining area has an earth floor, mismatched antique furniture, and decorative Indian ornaments. The menu changes frequently to incorporate fresh seasonal produce, with possible dishes including lemon-and-sage risotto, and grilled leg of lamb with sweet potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli, and harissa (North African spice paste). In addition to an international wine list, the café also serves a homemade elderflower cordial with fresh lime and mint.
Insider Tip:
Because it’s located in a greenhouse, the café is often quite hot and humid—even in the winter—so be sure to request a table away from the main heaters.
