Opened in 2014, Alda Hotel is a refreshing departure from Reykjavik's many chain hotels and Airbnb accomodations. Upmarket, yet reasonably priced, the modern property keeps its design scheme simple, employing shades of white, gray, and the occasional pop of red to add drama to a minimal space. Rooms on the highest floors have great sea or city views, especially those facing Laugavegur, Reykjavik’s main commercial street. All guests enjoy free Wi-Fi and access to the hotel's gym and sauna. Our favorite rooms boast private balconies.
