Sure, the London Bridge Resort is all kitschy English Tudor-style from the outside; still, the 122 rooms are huge, and the views (ask for a Bridgeview) are transporting.
The just-renovated hotel has surprisingly hip, modern rooms. The real draw is the train, “Lucky 7,” a replica of the Genoa (which worked the Virginia and Truckee Line in northern Nevada 100 years ago) that will haul you around the 27-acre property for free.
The only accommodation within the park borders of Canyon de Chelly, the lodge has no-frills adobe rooms with Navajo textiles and art; the lodge offers year-round Jeep tours into the canyon.
The hotel is perfect for families with its outdoor swimming pool and restaurant where children eat free.
Opened by the Navajo tribe in 2008 adjacent to the Monument Valley Tribal Park Visitor Center, the View Hotel has contemporary southwestern-style rooms with balconies and panoramic vistas.
The property has 23 luxurious lodge-style suites—each with rough-hewn log walls, cozy living rooms, and fireplaces—set on a pastoral 20-acres. Guests at the lodge can take full advantage with free fly-fishing equipment and lessons.
Stake your claim at Nautical Inn Beach, which has sand volleyball courts, boat rentals, and a water-sports center.
The hotel has a sleekly contemporary, Sunset Strip–style aesthetic. The stylish rooms have water views and Tempur-Pedic beds, and the patio bar is among the hottest spots in town.
