Hotels in Redwood Country
Although two of the four “Victorians” that make up the 32-room Carter House Inns (home of Restaurant 301) are reproductions, the chic rooms (with slipper chairs and matelassé bedding) compensate for any inauthenticity.
The 93-room hotel is kid-friendly, with an outdoor pool and in-room refrigerators, and overlooks the river.
The property offers 12 sweet, 1950s-style redwood cabins (with the “rustic” furniture straight out of the Drapers’ kitchen in Mad Men).
The five suites at the 15-room motel, surrounded by landscaped gardens and forest, are big, clean, and cheery.
