Sugaroom
Sydney, New South Wales, 2009, Australia
The Sugaroom Restaurant & Wine Bar, located on the site of a former sugar refinery, is surrounded by parklands with views of Johnston's Bay. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the dining room with natural light; al fresco dining is also available on a patio overlooking the water. The restaurant focuses on Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including a cinnamon-spiced pork cutlet with chickpea and carrot cassoulet, and shiraz and eschallot chicken liver pate with kumquat jam. Menu selections are served a la carte, and change seasonally.
Insider Tip:
Park on the side streets, where the meters provide longer parking times at rates that are cheaper than the restaurant-front meters.
