It’s not easy to get to Amanyara, which is located on the northwest corner of Providenciales. No matter how you arrive, you’ll have to go down a long, difficult-to-navigate road for more than 15 minutes—making it all the sweeter once you arrive at this gorgeous property. The resort only has 38 spacious pavilion rooms (the entry-level category) and 20 villas, but the property is in a nature reserve and large enough that you’ll need a golf cart to get around. The pagoda-style rooms at Amanyara are decorated in Aman’s signature, Asian-inspired decor—lots of teak, sloping ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the lush surroundings. The benefit of staying at this gorgeous hotel, which feels completely different from anything else you’ll find on the island, is that you’re far away from the crowds of Grace Bay. The Amanyara is set on Malcolm Beach, which is open to the public but feels completely secluded. The main restaurant also has an Asian theme, but look out for specialty nights, such as their weekly beach barbecues, for a more casual feel.
