Amanyara—meaning "peaceful place"—is a resort of more than 20 villas and 40 pavilions in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Located next to the 18,000-acre Northwest Point Marine National Park, this resort designed by renowned architect Jean Michel Gathy has clean lines, minimalist construction, flowing streams, reflecting ponds, and a 164-foot infinity-edged pool made of black volcanic rock. Amanyara sits on Malcolm’s Beach, a half-mile of secluded sand that’s a 25-minute ride from Providenciales airport. The Asian-influenced restaurant, lobby, and common areas are all in open-air pagoda-style buildings, arranged around a central reflecting pool. The resort also offers healing massages, diving excursions, and private movie screenings.
