12/33 Letenská, Prague, 11800, Czech Republic

Located in Prague's Baroque-style Malá Strana district, this 13th-century monastery turned 101-room hotel is grounded in its own ecclesiastical history. There are cloistered terraces, stone archways, and a cellar bar serving brews from the still-active Augustinian order of monks. That said, with its Cubist-inspired furnishings, glass-walled Czech restaurant, and Kerstin Florian spa (the only one in the country), the Augustine is far from lacking in modern amenities.
