Family Hotel Okoř

23 Okor
Prague, 252 64, Czech Republic
TEL: 420-02-3390-1031

Resembling a Provençal farmhouse, this 10-bedroom hotel is situated in the tiny village of Okoř, which is dominated by the 14th-century ruins of Okoř Castle. Just 30 minutes outside Prague, the hotel is surrounded by forested knolls, vast fields, and scenic hiking trails that wind past cottages and small streams. Originally constructed as an inn during the late 19th century, the light yellow building contains homelike guestrooms that may include hardwood floors, fresh flowers, and eclectic antiques such as an old-fashioned rocking horse. The acclaimed restaurant serves Czech wines and traditional dishes like green pepper steak with thin-cut pommes frites.

Room to Book:

Nature enthusiasts should request a room with a private balcony overlooking the gardens.

Insider Tip:

Venture five miles from the hotel to the former village of Lidice. Destroyed by the Nazis in 1942, the site is now home to a memorial park with a museum, a commemorative sculpture, and 21,000 rose bushes.
