Clarinetist and Avery Fisher Prize co-winner David Shifrin has been CMN’s artistic director for more than three decades, overseeing a five-week, non-profit program of classical music concerts that populate southeast Portland venues like Reed College’s Kaul Auditorium, Catlin Gabel School, and Lincoln Recital Hall. Chamber Music Northwest draws global talents in classical music like percussionist John Corkill, violinist Cho-Liang Lin, and flautist Sooyun Kim. The Chamber Music Northwest website accepts requests for single tickets and multi-concert subscriptions.

Kaul Auditorium, a primary CMN venue, resides between two lakes: Crystal Springs Lake and Reed Lake, the banks of each of which are good for a pre-concert stroll.
