Expecting parents Sara Chun and Ben Cavalcanti opened their Portland-based online shop in 2008 to sell kitty-shaped crayons that are easy for infants to grip and made with sustainable materials, including soy and beeswax. They handmake crayons in primary colors — red, green, and blue — plus secondary colors like orange and purple. They’ve added complementary products, including a “What Kitties Feel” coloring and activity book; kitty-shaped beeswax candles; and bowling kits with a kitty-printed bag, score sheet, six kitty-shaped pins, and a ball.
