Ponce’s Hotel Meliá has been owned and operated by the Meliá family for more than a century. The neoclassical hotel was founded by Bartolo Meliá, a Spanish immigrant who opened a grocery store in Ponce, then a restaurant, and finally, the hotel. While the hotel's 72 rooms and six suites have comfortable, yet outdated décor, some have French doors leading out to a balcony and views of the surrounding area. The hotel also has convenient location on the Plaza Las Delicias near such attractions as the Ponce Art Museum and the Museum of History of Ponce, as well as a pool.

Insider Tip:
Don’t miss the hotel’s breakfast. It is served on the rooftop terrace, offering guests spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
