A folk and country music and dance camp primarily for adults, Pinewoods got its start in 1919 as the first National Girl Scout Leadership Training School. By 1935, the Girl Scouts had moved elsewhere and the camp changed its focus to music and dance. Today, during summer months, Pinewoods has weekend and week-long sessions comprised of workshops, as well as free time for swimming, kayaking, and hiking. Facilities include one-room cabins and multi-room houses, some with indoor plumbing. Campers of all skill levels are welcome. Families can attend certain sessions.
