Phoenix Municipal Stadium
Phoenix, AZ, 85008, United States
Built in 1964 and christened by Willie Mays (who hit the first spring training home run there) Phoenix Municipal Stadium is more than home to the Oakland A’s spring training. This 8,000-seater includes media facilities, party suites, a media level patio, and a picnic area. In 2003, the stadium received a $6.4 million renovation that included new features like a 7,000 square foot press box, new dugouts, better signage, and a historical timeline. After spring training, the stadium (nicknamed “Phoenix Muni” by locals) is also available for rent.
