Some of the country’s best art museums, concert halls, parks, and entertainment venues grace the city, from the Barnes Foundation to the Rodin Museum and the "Rocky" steps outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

If you’re planning what things to do in Philadelphia while you’re here, the activities for kids and families are many—the Pizza Brain and Please Touch museums are perennial favorites, and the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk is a newly revamped outdoor space. History buffs are in for a special treat in the city where America was founded. Beyond the Liberty Bell and City Hall, make time for Franklin Square and Independence Mall. Take a walk through the Old City and glimpse its colonial landmarks. Then, explore historic public parks such as Rittenhouse Square and the surrounding streets full of stately homes.
