Philadelphia
Fork
Philadelphia, PA, 19106, United States
Located in Old City, this New American restaurant specializes in fresh seasonal cuisine, much of it sourced from local farms near Philadelphia. Hand-painted chandelier coverings and patterned, floor-to-ceiling velvet curtains are offset by an open kitchen and cast-concrete bar. Though seating is plentiful (and includes a large communal table), wait-times may be long, so reservations are recommended, even at lunchtime. The bistro-style menu contains dishes like handmade papardelle with braised duck ragu, house-smoked organic salmon, and wild mushroom risotto.
Insider Tip:
If you don't have time to wait for a table, stop by Fork, Etc., the cafe next door, which sells gourmet sandwiches, salads, and other fare to eat in or take out.
