On Walnut Street in Rittenhouse Square, the Hollywood of old appears anew in Butcher and Singer's blending elegant gilt, marble, and golden chandeliers with quirky touches like a dressed-up dogs mural. The restaurant is best known for its steaks and chops, with a menu featuring New York strip, Delmonico, Colorado lamb chop, and dry-aged porterhouse. But other dishes are available, including shrimp & crab Louie, hash browns, and the Butcher salad. The meal isn't completed without a Manhattan or Old Fashioned cocktail and the baked Alaska for dessert.
