Dedicated to the history of news and the media, the Newseum is a 250,000-square-foot museum that strives to foster understanding between the media and the public. The museum boasts seven levels filled with 14 galleries and 15 theaters. Visitors can see sections of the Berlin Wall, the twisted broadcast antenna from the World Trade Center, and the door from the Watergate Hotel. Special exhibits have included First Dogs: American Presidents and their Pets and Blood and Ink: Front Pages from the Civil War.
