Walking the Left Bank

Walking the Left Bank

Map
, Paris, 75006

A trip to Paris is not complete with a jaunt along the Left Bank, or the Latin Quarter, home of the University of Paris. A typical walk begins at Saint-Michel fountain before heading toward the Pantheon. Many luminaries are buried here including Rousseau, Voltaire, and Madame Curie. Past the Simone de Beauvoir footbridge sits the gothic architecture cathedral, Notre Dame. The stroll concludes at Luxembourg Gardens, but along the way, there are plenty of park benches, wine bars, and sidewalk cafés to stop in.
